The shopper claimed they were seated at a high table that was not suitable for her elderly parents.

She then described how she waited in a bar for 15 minutes while people who were “drunk and kissing and screaming” squeezed past her.

When she was served, she stated that the staff said they hadn’t paid for the food even though they hadn’t ordered it yet.

She claimed that the servers repeatedly interrogated her in an attempt to explain.

In a scathing TripAdvisor review, she accused the staff of being “unprofessional” and ignoring Covid safety.

She wrote: “The bar staff were more interested in serving these students their cheap cocktails.

“No one was monitoring the situation and I’m pretty sure Covid rules required you to wear masks in the bar, which no one did.

“When I was served, I was accused of not paying my last meal bill. I explained that we did not eat, but this was repeatedly questioned.

The staff responded, “We pride ourselves on providing exceptional service, so we are disappointed to hear that your visit with us was less than satisfactory.

“When booking, we advise you to inform us of any preconditions so that we can make your visit as pleasant as possible.

“We apologize for the billing confusion and will continue to look into this issue with the maintenance team. We hope we can use the points you earn to improve the situation. We hope you have a great day.”
