SAS: Who dares to win? Viewers insisted that new tough man Rudy Reyes “ruined” the show and begged Ant Middleton to return.
The former US Marine became the new head instructor for Channel 4’s adventure show, a role Ant held until March 2021, when he was fired for “personal conduct.”
Rookie Rudy asserted his authority from the start with his no-nonsense attitude and tough demands.
But viewers weren’t impressed with Rudy’s new boss and were forced to “turn off”.
One wrote: “Noo what did they do to SAS Who Dares Wins?!
Another wrote: “Rudy sterling shop Ant Middleton….ruining the show. #SAS #WhoDaresWins”.

A third said, “Bring back Ant Middleton #SAS.”
#SAS #SASWhoDaresWins absolutely ruined, bringing in the Americans turned it into a drama…sorry,” another tweeted.
One fan joked, “Ant Middleton must be sitting around laughing at the new SAS. #WhoDaresWins.
Someone else commented: “SAS is not the same without Ant Middleton… I’m passing out. #WhoDaresWins.
Another shared, “Nooo what did they do to SAS Who Dares Wins?! I had to give up. #WhoDaresWins.”
“It’s a shame that it’s only 10 minutes before the start of the show, and I’ve already postponed watching the series due to the new annoying staff. #SAS,” added a disappointed viewer.
But other fans were distracted by the cool newcomer and desperate to see more.
One wrote: “I literally can’t take my eyes off Rudy’s biceps. #SAS.
“#WhoDaresWins Hi Rudy… he’s a real hottie,” another cheekily wrote.
Rudy has exclusively told The Sun that Ant Middleton fans abused him, but says it’s nothing compared to the death threats he received while fighting the Taliban.
Rudy said, “I’ve already heard the negative reviews. And you know what, I think there are a lot of negative opinions out there.
“But I’m very curious to hear what people say after watching the program.
“I believe that Ant has a lot of fans and you know if he has done his job and earned this reputation, then it is good for him.
“Actually, I didn’t know what happened to Ant until they asked me to be the senior instructor. Did I say why? And then they said that they sent me to stories.
Although he is relatively unknown in the UK, Rudy has already appeared on television in Killer Generation, where he played himself, and in James Blumenthal’s Once Upon a Time in Iraq.

The show challenge is back with the toughest training course ever set against the backdrop of the Jordanian desert.
The original 21 recruits were sent on an intense journey to their base through the scorching heat in the first episode.
Once they returned to safety, their ability to work as a team was tested as they crossed the ravine, balancing on a rope suspended 165 feet above the ground.
They then had to hold their heads up while being gassed in the chamber.
Watch SAS: Who Dares Wins on Sunday at 21:00 on Channel 4.
