The plot follows policewoman Kate and her family as they vacation in Malta with their friends from university and their loved ones.
However, the trip was tense from the start as Kate (Jill Halfpenny) suspected husband Sean of having an affair with one of her girlfriends.
Things took a more tragic turn on Thursday’s penultimate episode when Kate’s lonely friend Izzy, whom she thought was Sean’s mystery woman, was found dead at the bottom of a cliff after a forest fire near their villa.
The final episode quickly gave viewers answers after the events of the last three nights ended and Sean revealed the truth about who “CoralGirl” really was.
It turned out to be Kate’s friend Jenny, however, they were not having an affair, and in fact they were hiding an incident that resulted in a teenager named Alex being hospitalized just a few days before their vacation.
Sean told Kate how he spotted Jenny’s car speeding away before discovering that her troubled son Jake was driving, and he reacted to Kate’s daughter Lucy getting upset when Alex sent in a video of her committing him sexual intercourse at school.
Now Alex was dead and Sean and Jenny were desperate to figure out what to do, and Jenny was determined to protect her son at all costs.
Kate barely had time to discuss what happened with Lucy, who sent an audio message to Jake asking him to kill Alex in her upset state, before little Odette walked in and revealed that it was Jenny who made Izzy fall off the edge of the cliff. .
The couple then realized that Jenny had taken their son Danny back to the place and ran to help him, only to find a distraught Jenny holding him close to the edge and begging Kate not to tell the police about her son, as well as insisting on Izzy’s death. there was an accident.
Luckily, Kate was able to grab Danny and the action quickly returned to the UK, where Kate and her family attended Izzy’s funeral.
Jake was revealed to have checked into the facility to get help for his mental health, while Jenny confessed to Izzy’s death, but with less responsibility.
However, there was another twist ahead, as on the eve of her first day on the job, policewoman Kate told Lucy that she was going to tell her bosses at the station what she knew, and then Lucy could live her life knowing what she did. right.
But the teenage girl made an even bigger impression by revealing that she was in the car with Jake when he suddenly crashed into Alex and knocked him over, so if her mom told her bosses about Jake, he would reveal that she was with him.
A devastated Kate was then seen sobbing in the bathroom before removing the sound she had with Lucy and then smashing her phone into a mirror, apparently going against her moral compass to protect her daughter.
