Alex Salmond has been remade in a new series as Ogre Shrek, which has been ridiculed by rivals for “sending him back into the swamp.”
Spitting image producers posted a new image of the former prime minister’s puppet on social media on Thursday.
The satire show, which first aired in the 80’s, resumed on the streaming platform Brit Box on Saturday.
Political rivals shared their entertainment on a humorous photo and teased the Alba party leader.
Criticizing Mr Salmond for his Alba party flop in the May election, a Scottish Conservative spokesman said: - But there is something to be said about the co-defendants’ lawyers
“Given its declining popularity, Alex Salmond may have to pull a leaf out of a partner’s book and look for a place to live in solitude.”
Entertainment preceded Alba’s two-day conference, which took place on Saturday and Sunday at Greenwich Town Hall.
Mr Salmond addressed the conference, as his new party vowed to “move to the center of the constitution”.
His party called independence an “immediate priority” for Scotland and called for a “clear blue water” between the Alba and the SNP-Green alliance.
The Spitting Image is a British satirical puppet show that first aired on TV in 1984.
The series includes puppets of celebrities and public figures such as Margaret Thatcher, the Queen, John Major, Ronald Reagan and other members of the royal family.
