Aberdeen boss Jim Goodwin has confirmed that the latest high-profile departure from Pittodrie will be Scotland defender Mikey Devlin.
The former Hamilton Axis guard, whose career was hampered by injury, will leave Pittodrie at the end of the season after Scott Brown and Andy Considine.
The club is embarking on a major overhaul under new boss Jim Goodwin, who confirmed the 28-year-old’s departure to the press yesterday.
Devlin, who played in a European Championship qualifier for Scotland as recently as October 2019, was given short-term contracts when he returned to form.
He made 51 appearances in four and a half seasons.
But Goodwin has confirmed that the star will move this summer.

He said: “Mikey has had a terrible time with his injuries.
“The club took care of him last season or so after his last injury.
“A couple of weeks ago I said that he had another setback.
“It has been a very difficult time for Mikey, so we are giving him some time with his family to recover.
“But I had a conversation with Mikey about next season and Mikey will leave Aberdeen in the summer.
“In the next couple of days there will be some statement about this.
Goodwin added: “We had a very honest conversation.
“I have known Mikey for a long time.
“He’s a great guy who unfortunately probably didn’t live up to his potential due to recurring injuries and that’s a big shame for him.
“We just have to wait and see where he goes next.
“But next season he will not be an Aberdeen player.
The news came as Goodwin insisted that the terms offered to Aberdeen stalwart Andy Considine would appeal to “the man in the street”.
The Don’s new boss made the ruthless decision to fire the veteran defender after 18 years at Pittodrie after negotiations broke down.
A devastated Considine, 35, will now be leaving his beloved Reds in the summer as a free agent.

Stopper has only recently recovered from a cruciate ligament injury he sustained last August.
Now the whole issue completely overshadows tomorrow’s playoff game against Ross County, where the working people of Dona should win in the latest bid for the top six.
