The 25-year-old is in the shape of his life this campaign as he remains the top scorer in the Scottish Premier League.

His impressive performances have linked him to a move to the Dons in recent months.

Goodwin is looking to start a makeover and may just make a move for a fit star at the end of the season.

Asked directly if a player whose contract ended in the summer could be a target, he added: “There are several targets we are looking at.

“The hardest thing to find guys in the upper part of the field. But he certainly had a brilliant season.”

Goodwin, who fired player/coach Scott Brown, looks set to bring a few new players to Pittodrie this summer.

It was revealed that Don legend Andy Considine was also about to leave the club after Aberdeen canceled his new deal.

And with a major map overhaul for Aberdeen this summer, they’ll want to get new people in quickly and get a foothold at the club.

Charles-Cook may be one of the first players to be switched to the 9th-place side by the league.

It could prove to be a controversial move as the winger could put an end to the Dons’ top six hopes when County travel to Pittordry tomorrow.

This is the last match before the division of the standings is confirmed.

Aberdeen need to win to have a chance of finishing in the top six as they are currently two points behind the 6th-placed Hibbs.

Meanwhile, Goodwin confirmed that the latest high-profile exit from Pittodrie would be Scotland international defender Mikey Devlin.

The 28-year-old will become the third Dons player to leave the club since the departures of Scott Brown and Andy Considine.

Speaking about Devlin’s departure from the club, Goodwin said: “Mikey has had a terrible time with his injuries.

“The club took care of him last season or so after his last injury.
