A young man was killed in a horrific hit and run accident when he was hit by a stolen stolen car.

Marcus Siemens Allen, 18, was shot in Greater Manchester’s Ultrinchum before being taken to hospital.

A local man was seriously injured in the crash, which occurred shortly after 9pm on Sunday.

Officers were called to report a collision between a car and a pedestrian on George Richardsway in Broad Heath.

A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police said: “Emergency services attended and Marcus Siemens Allen, 18, of Altrincham, was taken to hospital, where he died tragically.

The driver of the car - a purple Volkswagen Scrooge - believed to have been stolen - failed to stop at the scene.

“No arrests have been made yet.”

Sergeant Philip Shaw said: “It was a tragedy and our thoughts are with Marx’s admirers at the moment.

“This is a speedy investigation and several lines of inquiry are being explored.

However, we need the help of the public to find the driver of the vehicle that failed to stop at the scene of the collision.

He added that pictures of the “insulting vehicle” had been released to the public to help with the investigation.

The officer added: “Someone knows the identity of the person responsible and I also appeal to those people and the driver to come forward.”

“[The force] It will take legal action against those involved in helping, sheltering or otherwise preventing this person from being brought to justice.
