Another member of the powerful Murdoch family in South Carolina was shot dead weeks after Margaret Maggie Murdoch and her son Paul Murdo were killed in their home.
Maggie’s husband, 52, and Paul’s father, 22, Alex Murdoch, were shot in the head while changing tires in Hampton County. Tommy Crosby, a spokesman for the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED), told People magazine about the incident: “I can now confirm that the individual shot was fired by Alex Murdoch. Are being investigated. “
Alex was transferred to the Parkers Emergency and Trauma Center in Savannah, Georgia, after the attack. His lawyer, Jim Griffin, told the outlet that the 53-year-old man was “conscious and talking” after escaping the bullet, which is a good sign.
The incident comes less than three months after Alex lost his wife and son after being shot several times by unknown individuals at the family’s 1,770-acre hunting lodge. Their bodies were found by Alex himself on that horrific night of June 7, after which he called 911 to report the deaths.
Some reports claimed that Alex was involved in the murder, but his family said he liked them. “Nothing on this earth.”
The murder was committed while Paul was awaiting trial in 2019 on charges of booting under the influence (BUI), which resulted in the death of a 19-year-old woman. He pleaded not guilty in the case and was released on bail. His uncle, John Marvin Murdoch, said Paul had received online threats from strangers before his assassination.
The Mardau family is one of the most powerful families in South Carolina, with three generations serving as advocates for the 14th Judicial Circuit for more than 86 years. His friends and acquaintances say the family is both lovely and scared.
A local lawyer said, “You don’t cross men. He will bring you everything he has.
The recent killings have become the talk of the town, no suspect has been arrested yet.
