Protesters gathered in Baghdad’s Tahrir Square on Friday, marking the second anniversary of a popular protest movement that shook the government and signaled a bloody crackdown. Elections are scheduled for October 10, with the exception of the 2019 protest movement. But many protesters, intending to boycott the ballot, say their demands for military change have not yet been met. Our correspondents in Iraq, Jack Hewson and Lucille Wasserman, report.
