Tributes have been paid to a “very lovely” woman who died in a village accident, seriously injuring three other young men.
Georgia Duncan, 18, was a passenger in the back seat of a silver Ford Fiesta when it crashed into a wall in Patti Me, County Durham, at about 6:20 p.m. Saturday.
Despite the best efforts of the emergency services, Georgia was pronounced dead at the scene.
Paying tribute, her family said: “Georgia was a very dear daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece and friend who will be greatly missed.”
The driver – an 18-year-old man – and two passengers – an 18-year-old man and a 17-year-old girl – were all taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Police would like to speak to any witness who was in the area at the time, or anyone who had any dashcam footage of the vehicle before the collision.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Durham Roads Policing Unit on 01325 742 705, referring to the August 28 incident number 336.
