Train services in Glasgow were cut off this evening following an incident at Carthage train station.
Emergency services were called to the East End and the service was stopped at around 6 pm on Cumbernold between Malangawi and Motherwell, and trains were temporarily halted.

The nature of the incident is not yet clear, but passengers have been warned to expect some disruption when services resume.
Police Scotland And the British Transport Police have been contacted for comment.
