Three more arrests after the ‘famine song’ march through Glasgow

Three more people have been arrested since the alleged march from Glasgow city center.

The 21, 26 and 23-year-olds have been charged with singing “racist material” in the city on August 29, the day of the Old Firm match.

This brings the total number of arrests to six.

We reported yesterday that three men, aged 24, 21, and 19, had also been charged and would appear in Glasgow Sheriff’s Court at a later date.

Police said the arrests would be “the first of many” and that “racial treatment will not be tolerated.”
