tripadvisor ranks the best beaches in the world as part of the Traveller’s Choice Awards 2022, and of the top 10 beaches in Europe, two are in the UK – practically on our doorstep.

The basics are the same – sea, sand – but each beach offers its own characteristics.

Kleftiko Beach, for example, is a great place for snorkeling and boat trips.

Coming in at number seven, and number one among UK beaches, is Luskentyre, Scotland, described in one review as “one of the most magical beaches in the world.”
