A woman from Indiana allegedly killed and mutilated her husband and then asked his two teenagers to help remove his body.

According to the affidavit, Thessaloniki planned to keep the body parts in the car and set them on fire. He sought the help of a Michigan man to dispose of the body, which he refused to do before returning it to its original location. The man warned authorities that he saw the body in the closet of the woman’s apartment. He also revealed that the suspects “threw a gun from the car,” possibly the weapon of the crime, back to their ride to Michigan.
This was confirmed by Thessaloniki when police found and arrested him. The 34-year-old man confessed to shooting and killing Randy, and said his body was still lying in a closet in his daughter’s bedroom. Authorities visited the building to retrieve the broken body, and found it inside a trunk.
In follow-up interviews with her children, police discovered that she had tried to enlist the help of her children to cover up her crimes. The teens told police that on the night of the crime, their father was helping them with their homework on the computer when they found “a website that their mother had visited.”
The victim allegedly talked to his wife about the site when she returned home, after which they had an argument and said he was leaving. The teenagers said they soon heard a loud “explosion” and saw their father on the floor calling 911 for help.
However, his mother told him not to contact the police, and later to wake him up in the middle of the night to help dispose of the body. He made the same request and asked them to clear the crime scene the next day as well.
During a search of the apartment, police found an ax and a knife inside the suspect’s closet. It contained “remnants of a red substance that looked like blood.” Several handwritten notes with a checklist of works related to Randy’s death were found under a pillow in his daughter’s room.
The woman now faces a number of charges, including murder, body abuse and child neglect.
