The Taliban snatched gold bars and 6. 6.5 million from the Afghan president’s home.

Afghan activist Mohammad Jalal announced that Taliban militants allegedly recovered 6. 6.5 million and gold bars from the house of Afghan Vice President Amrullah Saleh. Twitter Page.

The search was carried out as part of a Taliban operation led by Afghan security forces. All valuables were confiscated by law enforcement officers.

On September 10, it was reported that the Taliban had arrested and hanged the vice president’s brother, Rohullah Saleh. According to other reports, Rohullah Saleh was killed during a battle between insurgents and the Taliban in Panjshir.

On September 8, Afghan Ambassador to Tajikistan Zahir Akbar assured that Amrullah Saleh was in Panjshir, where he had served as President of Afghanistan. The diplomat recalled that Saleh’s status as deputy head of state was a guarantee of the Afghan constitution.

Amrullah Saleh supported the Panjshir Resistance Front’s fight against the Taliban. After former chief Ashraf Ghani left the country, he declared himself acting president of Afghanistan.
