Qari Yousaf Ahmadi reiterated the group’s call for educated Afghans to help rebuild the country after 20 years of war.
“They are our professionals and the future of Afghanistan will be in their hands,” he said.
“Those who go back will be forgiven,” he promised, adding: “They are our heroes, they should not be upset.”
He also said that Afghanistan’s banking problems, such as long lines and lack of liquidity in the country, would be resolved soon.
“Our message is to wait – we’re just getting started.”
