The BBC has been criticized for warning warnings from The Walker of W.
Viewers on iPlayer are told that the classic comedy, starring Don French as Walker Geraldine Ginger, “contains discriminatory language.”
One fan exclaimed: “I can’t begin to imagine what’s so offensive about him from afar.
“It’s just a wonderful, funny show.
“It’s crazy – it’s still a lot of work.”
The show has seemed a bit unfocused in recent episodes, however, with some sharp language coming from Owen Newt – played by Roger Lloyd-Pack.
A BBC spokesman said: “Even the most popular shows can sometimes have language that some people have a problem with.”
