Locals in Elizabeth City, North Carolina, are outraged to see a video of a man throwing a dog at Waxwell Secure Self Storage. In the surveillance video, he lets a large Ekita get out of the car without a leash and throws a bag of food on the ground. Then, he left without looking back.
To make matters worse, storage is not far off. SPCA Northeast North Carolina.. So, if he had handed the dog over to them, he would have escaped any consequences. But now, authorities are looking for the man who released the innocent dog.
Shocking surveillance footage.
The owner of the storage facility, Joe Musico, received a call about the dog on the property. When he arrived, he saw Akita walking out on the grass with a large pile of dog food. He went to see the security footage, and he couldn’t believe his eyes.
Right in front of the security cameras, a man in a red shirt pulled the dog out of the car. She ran to the grass and did her business as if she had been holding it for a while. Then, the man got out of the car and threw a bag of food out, leaving the bag on the ground. He ran away without attaching anything to the dog.
“I’m an animal lover. The dog I have at the moment was a rescue that was on the side of the road here in Waxville, so I was upset and crazy.” It was a real bad decision by him. ۔ You can call the animal shelter or call the animal control and they will come to get an animal if you do not want to.
Akita is now in the care of SPCA, where she is happy and in love. They will hold it for a few days before putting it for adoption.
Second chance at the shelter.
It didn’t take long for people to find the suspect after the storage company posted a video of the security footage on Facebook. Many in the comments believe the man’s name is Darius Hill, but it is unclear if authorities have yet confirmed this.
In the comments, there is a woman who claims to know the man, but she keeps defending his actions. She says he has been begging for a dog for some time and the shelter was not open when he was there. Left the dog. The woman also says that she wants to adopt this loneliness. However, the shelter will likely be careful about who takes the dog home to make sure it doesn’t hurt again.
“Animals are a part of your family and when you get them you can’t throw them on the street,” Musiko said. “Don’t throw your kids out. People need to think hard before taking pets.
It is a miracle that the dog is healthy and safe after the incident. Since she was not tied up, she could run on a nearby busy road. Therefore, she deserves a house far away from the man who hurt her. She needs to find a family that will love her forever.
