BRIDES who dream of a fairy tale ending can become princesses for a day thanks to the unique collection of the Scots store.
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo Bridal Boutique in East Kilbride, Lanarkshire is the only place in the country that sells Allure Bridal’s Disney Fairy Tale bridal collection.
Owned by Disney’s crazy Joanna Kilpatrick, brides-to-be can choose from Jasmine, Cinderella and Ariel inspired dresses.
The boutique got its name because Joanna’s son nicknamed her the Fairy Godmother of Cinderella, who uses the magic phrase in the Disney animated film as she often sewed and darned dresses.
She opened a shop in her hometown and her products became so popular that people even came from Germany to buy beautiful movie-inspired dresses.
Joanna said: “Demand for the Disney Fairy Tale Weddings collection is extremely high and more and more Scottish brides are hoping to get the look of a dreamy Disney princess.
“We can’t wait to see more beautiful brides in dresses when weddings are back.
“The Disney Fairy Tale Weddings Collection has just unveiled a new line of dresses for 2022 that was officially launched last week at the Cinderella Castle at Walt Disney World, Orlando, and we’ve been invited to Florida to unveil the new dresses on the runway.”
Newly married Jordan Scott fell in love with Sleeping Beauty’s dress when choosing a dress for her big day when she married partner Paul in November.
She said, “As soon as I put it on, I told them to put away the other dresses, I said, ‘I’m buying it.’ As soon as I put it on, I was absolutely in love.
“The corset was just gorgeous, the dress shone from the corset down. It was amazing.
“The Aurora dress came with a cape rather than a veil and I really liked that – I thought it would be more unique for the bride.”
From beaches to castles, Scotland has the perfect place to say yes
A selection of Disney dresses were showcased at last weekend’s Scottish Wedding Show, where hundreds of merchants showcased their dresses and Bob Voisey and Megan Wolf answered questions live.
Joanna said: “The collection is really outstanding.”
