According to Shoigu, the second item on the agenda is the implementation of priority programs within the scope of the 2021 State Defense Order and the 2022-2023 target period. The Minister said that it was about the creation of strategic, military transport and operational tactical aircraft.
“We are systematically increasing the volume of purchases of aviation equipment for such aircraft,” he said.
He also noted the benefits of the new credit mechanism for financing public contracts for the early delivery of such weapons. The new funding system has made it possible not only to speed up the supply of state-of-the-art weapons to Russian military units, but also to reduce their costs.
In August, a source in the Russian aircraft industry said that a demonstration model of the new Russian aircraft, known as the Advanced Long Range Aviation Complex (PAK DA), would be ready by 2023.
