Morning Man United Fans
United have been advised to resume their search for Karen Trapier in January – while Dennis Irwin claims that Cristiano Ronaldo is still improving as a goal scorer.
Atletico Madrid’s 30-year-old England striker was linked with United and Arsenal in the summer.
It has also been claimed that United have rejected a bid of 18 18 million for Atletico’s 30 30 million.
At the other end of the pitch, Old Trafford legend Irwin insisted that the hero Ronaldo is not like a 36-year-old man, even though his game has changed since the first United Spell in 2003-9.
Irwin said: “He’s a great goal scorer, he’s always been and always will be, and he’s getting better and better at it.
“People may ask him because he’s 36 but he’s really taken care of himself, you can tell.
“The Premier League is the most physical league in the world for me, and he is not the kind of player he was when he first joined United. But he will definitely score.”
Ronaldo, meanwhile, thanked Edinson Cavani for an “incredible gesture” that allowed him to regain his Manchester United No. 7 shirt.
And center-back Viktor Lindelov insisted he was OK with the arrival of Rafael Varan, meaning he would play less.
Jesse Langard is understood to have made it clear to West Ham that he would like to fight for his place at United.
The 28-year-old England midfielder was reportedly wanted by the Hammers in August, where he won a loan last season.
