Port Glasgow: Motorcyclist killed in road accident

A motorcyclist was killed in a road accident in Port Glasgow.

Emergency services last night approx. At 12.35 pm, B788 was called on Kalmakolam Road when a black Honda motorcycle hit a wall.

Police confirmed that the 53-year-old male motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene shortly afterwards. Her relatives have been notified.

Road policing officers in Glasgow are now appealing to witnesses to the crash.

Sergeant John Bradford Road Policing Unit said: “Sadly, the motorcyclist died and our thoughts are with his family and friends. We are still investigating to establish the full extent of what happened. ۔

The road was closed for four hours while an investigation was carried out and the local turn was relocated.

“I will ask anyone who has witnessed the collision, or who has dashcam footage, and has not yet spoken or provided this information to officers, to contact us as soon as possible.” ۔
