‘Place in the Sun’ guests accuse Danny Menzies of ‘going too far’

A PLACE in the Sun guests yesterday accused Danny Menzies of “going too far” with a property review, and fans were not pleased.

Scottish presenter Danny was tasked with finding the couple David and Diane their dream home in Almería, Spain.

The couple have set their sights on a country home with more space, a pool and great views – all for £150,000.

But the property hunt proved difficult as Diane and David struggled to negotiate and then turned against Danni.

By excluding the first two vacation homes, Danny hoped to impress the couple with a five-bedroom property with traditional and contemporary elements.

But the TV beauty was left “really disappointed” as her guests abruptly stopped watching.

Diane said: “I think, to be honest, the road trip feels more rural, more isolated.

“I know we want it, but I feel like it’s almost one step too far for me.

David added: “It all comes down to the practicality of the number of stairs and the insulation for Dee to drive back and forth.”

Danny then asked the couple, “Okay, would you like to see more of this?”

But the duo emphatically ruled out the property and cut the viewing short.

David said: “I think probably not. I think. We realized that what might be a dream is not a practical dream.”

Channel 4 presenter Danny admitted that it was “difficult” for her to meet all their demands.

She added, “I’m very disappointed that David and Dee didn’t like this beautifully designed cortijo, but I fully understand that it’s more about practicality than what it has to offer, which rules it out.

But I won’t give up without a fight.

Despite being shown a total of five properties, the couple did not settle for any and decided to continue their search alone.

And outraged fans accused the couple of “wasting time.”

One said, “A confusing waste of time, assholes.”

Another wrote: “Flippin messers!! Find the slightest excuse, orange juice thieves.

Meanwhile, a third added: “Dian and David love a few properties but don’t buy anything. Waste of time”.
