Pierce, 56, used the same post after leaving the show in March after a live-air discussion with co-host Alex Bersford, which forced him to leave the show.

The pair fell out when Pierce rejected Meghan Markle’s mental health claims when she talked to Oprah Winfrey about her royal experience.

Fans were quick to speculate that the camera might signal some big news for the previously used GIF pairings, including a return to GMB.

Turning to the comments section, he linked his secret post to the resignation of ITV show series director Aaron Gordon after 13 years.

“GMB, back to Pierce?” One wrote, as the other took part in the discussion: “Pierce Morgan is back on television.”

“Is this your long-awaited return?”

A few months after Pierce’s dramatic walkout, the fourth part of the ITV owners’ departure in August wrote, “You won’t go back, Aaron is leaving.”

Others speculated that this could mean he was “working for a competitor” on the ITV breakfast show or even joking.

The secret watch was last posted by Pierce in March, minutes before it went live after a collision with fellow host Alex, 40.

This came after he repeatedly denied Meghan’s claim that she had mental health issues during the show.

The Duchess of Sussex told Oprah Winfrey that she felt like she “didn’t want to live anymore” in her bombing interview.

But the next day, speaking on Good Morning Britain, Morgan posted a “tick tock” watch on Twitter, saying he “doesn’t believe a word”.

Alex spoke calmly about his views on the royal family’s barely opera interview, and criticized Morgan’s coverage of the breakfast show.

Defending the couple, the weather presenter said: “I think you have a personal relationship with Meghan Markle, or had a relationship with her, and she cut you off.

“She deserves to be bitten if she wants to. Has she said anything about you since she bit you?”

But Pierce refused to listen, eventually snaping and saying: “I’m not doing this” when he got up and left the seat.

He briefly returned 20 minutes later, where he told Alex before announcing his criticism of the “personal insult.”

ITV said in a statement: “After discussions with ITV, Pierce Morgan has decided that now is the time to leave Good Morning UK. ITV has accepted this decision and its I have nothing more. “

‘Pierce gets monthly rankings, in one month’

This comes after reports of how GMB staff were “disappointed” to bring Pierce Morgan back five months after his recovery.

Ratings have plummeted since leaving GMB, and scenes are said to be “on the floor” behind the scenes as they await its return.

An insider said: “People who thought of Pierce got a rating and took part in the biggest interviews of the month.”

One source added. Mail online.“Everyone on the show would love to see Pierce come back because, in many ways, they feel this is the only way to change rating diving.”

“It’s not out of the realm because he still talks to Susanna and whatever happens, he’s in touch with a lot of people working on the program.”

Back in June, Pierce gave a big hint that he would want to return to the show after telling Sun that the owners of ITV wanted him back.
