Pedophile police doctor drugged 8-year-old boy, forced him to rape minor girl in other heinous crimes

A former police surgeon is facing the possibility of spending the rest of his life in jail after committing three crimes against children.

The jury in Howe’s Lewis Crown Court found Robert Cameron Wells, a former GP in South Wales, guilty of two counts of indecent exposure to a child and attempting to paint a picture of another child. Judge David Renee told Wales he would consider all options, including life imprisonment. Wells reportedly said “thank you” before taking them down Mail online

Wales has already pleaded guilty to 13 more charges against three other victims, and is already serving two lengthy sentences for similar rape offenses. He has also been found guilty of setting up a makeshift film studio where he abused children with drugs and said he was going to make them stars. The studio was a sprawling office that had been turned into a bad movie location.

The 69-year-old once drugged an eight-year-old boy and said he was going to become an actor and star after going to the set of his sick movie. The victim revealed that Wales gave instructions while another man operated the camera, in a room without a window that was empty except for a hospital-style bed, lights and a large camera. He told police he went up the metal stairs to the cabin where Wells and another man had set up their studio.

The drug addict went with Wales, whom he knew was a police doctor. He recalled that he was filmed somewhere in Sussex in October 1998. At the time, he was forced to rape another minor girl. “They said, ‘Come on, you can do it, you’re going to be like an actor, you’re going to be a star.’ He kept saying, ‘Don’t look at the camera. It was a dark room. Not me.’ There seemed to be a window, the roof was very low, the boy called the police back.

“She had a bed with the baby. It was a hospital-style bed. It had a white sheet on it. I remember the light was very bright. I remember saying hello to the girl and she didn’t answer. I remember. Wells said she was asleep but I remember her eyelids.

Jennifer Knight QC for Crown Prince told the court that Wales qualified as a doctor in the 1970s, and worked as a GP in Carleton near Newport for 10 years before moving to Brighton in 1990. Was Private practice.
