After talking about friendship with Meghan Markle in high school, Nima Wand talked about her horrific experience of being targeted by online trolls.
“King of Sons” star Andy Cohen on Sunday’s episode “See what happens“When he received death threats after sharing his history with Shahi, he talked about befriending her as a teenager last year.
That’s when he went to All Boys High School, a classmate of Meghan Markle’s All Girls School. He said the Duchess of Sussex once sat on his lap at a party and announced the date of his friend Gabby. The reality TV star shared that after joining “Suits”, he called his friend “Ghost”, in which he played the role of Rachel Zane for seven seasons.
During a question-and-answer session on Cohen’s show, a fan asked if Wand had since reached out to the Duchess considering she still had her phone number from high school and now she and Prince Harry has moved to California. The actor said that he did not try because apparently other people did not want him either.
“No, because Meghan Markle’s army came to me when I talked about it on my podcast,” he replied, adding that he had also shown his reporters home.
“My friend, whom I mentioned, had been camping reporters outside her house for a week. I was receiving death threats on Twitter because all I said was that they were girls. One of them is a woman and she was sitting on my lap at a party, and sniffing at me like a nose, “Vand explained.
“And the British press changed it like this, ‘I’m calling it Phalosi,’ and they came for me. So don’t mess with the Queen, it’s my thing,” he pointed out.
Wand admitted that the experience was “really bad” because reporters were literally camping at his and his friend’s house and would not leave for a week. He then jokingly suggested that he send a text to Meghan Markle to check if she still had her phone number from high school.
