A man has died in hospital after more than a week following an alleged incident at Lark Hall.
Emergency personnel arrived at the scene. Glen Avenue in Lanarkshire Town. After the alarm went off, Friday, August 20, at about 10:30 p.m.
David Devine of Bellshell was taken to Clyde Bank’s Golden Jubilee Hospital in critical condition, but died on Sunday, August 29.
The 40-year-old heartbroken mother said: We are deeply saddened by the tragic and sudden loss of our beloved son.
Police have also confirmed that they have arrested a 49-year-old man in connection with the death.
A report was submitted to Prosecutor Fiscal and was due to appear in Hamilton Sheriff’s Court tomorrow.
A flat on the road was also closed the next day with officers and police vehicles at the scene.
A Scotland Police spokesman said: “A man has been arrested and charged with the murder of a 40-year-old man in Lark Hall.
Emergency services were called to the Glen Avenue area of Lark Hall on Friday, August 20, at approximately 10.30am.
He was taken to Clyde Bank’s Golden Jubilee Hospital and died on Sunday, August 29.
A 49-year-old man has been arrested and charged with death.
“A report was submitted to Prosecutor Fiscal and was due to appear in Hamilton Sheriff’s Court on August 31.”
