|The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) thanked the Pharmaceutical Club, August 26. Joint letter Urging the heads of the European Commission, Council, Parliament and External Action Service to show solidarity with Lithuania and support the decision to establish relations with Taiwan.
The letter, signed by the club’s co-chairmen and European Parliament legislators and the 27 national parliaments of Europe and Canada, expresses the club’s solidarity with Lithuania and calls on the European Union and NATO. That the state should take a more proactive stance to increase relations with Taiwan.
In response to the letter, MOFA ranked Taiwan and Lithuania at the forefront of defending democracy in Asia and Europe, respectively. The ministry added that every effort would be made to deepen the friendship and increase exchanges between the two countries.
