It’s been 25 years since John Travolta shared a wonderful dance with Princess Diana on the White House floor, but it’s still one of the most talked about performances today. The actor recently mentioned the events that led to an instant dance with the Princess of Wales, calling it a “moment of stories”.

The 67-year-old recalled that he went to dinner “with great humility” because he thought he was “an extra person in a very important people’s room.” However, the host soon approached him at dinner and said that he was expected to actually take the main stage with the British monarchy.
“About 10 o’clock at night, Nancy Reagan put her hand on my shoulder and said, ‘Princess, her fantasy is to dance with you. Would you like to dance with her tonight?’ And I said, ‘OK,’ ‘the “fat” star remembered.
The actor also revealed that there was actually a bit of tension a few minutes before the dance.
