Richard Holden, MP Northwest Durham, is hosting an inaugural ‘Jobs, Jobs, Jobs’ Fair, Friday, September 17 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Eastern employees will be hired. The fair is free to attend and open to all.
Local employers interested in hiring include Amazon, Nissan, Go North East, Fire Service, B&Q, Network Rail, Balfour Betty, ALDI, Army, NHS and more. The positions to be filled are diverse and include construction and engineering, delivery drivers, store workers, chefs, care workers, salesmen, HR assistants, NHS rolls, hospitality workers and more.

“As the country reopens and the furlough ends, I know I will have a lot of job seekers and at the same time employers will want to hire new staff and apprentices as they begin to improve. For this reason, I have decided to host the Jobs and Apprenticeship Fair.
“I am delighted that companies and organizations have responded to my call for staff recruitment. More than 35 local and regional employers will participate, including Amazon, Nissan, Go northeast., Fire Service, B&Q, Network Rail, Balfour Betty, ALDI, Army, NHS and more. Importantly, everyone now wants to hire staff, from entry-level dropouts to experienced employees.
