Jam Jar: A staff member tested positive for Code 19 at a restaurant near Glasgow.

A restaurant near Glasgow has closed its doors to customers after its employees tested positive for Covid 19.

Jam Jar in Paisley confirmed that they would not open today after a staff member tested positive. Corona virus this morning.

The restaurant added that it is awaiting test results from the rest of its staff, as well as guidance from the NHS.

A statement posted on Facebook this afternoon read: “It is with a heavy heart that we should inform you that we will not be opening the restaurant today.

“Unfortunately, we have a staff member this morning who has been positive about Cowade.

“To ensure the safety of our staff and of course our customers, we have decided to keep our doors closed today as we await test results from the rest of the staff and guidance from the NHS on how to proceed.”

“We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused and we will keep you updated on how we will proceed.

“We are currently calling any customer who is booked with us today. People stay safe.”
