James McPack has refused to allow Lee Griffiths to return to Dundee.

Sun Sport. Revealed that the Dark Blues want to borrow the Celtic striker.

Dennis Boss McPack has confirmed he wants to add players before Tuesday’s deadline, but said: “Is there anything in the Griffiths link? I don’t know. I’ve been involved in tricks with a lot of players.

“The transfer window is now getting ready to close and I will probably join a move for three, four, five or six players.

“Am I hoping to do business now? Yes.

“I will not stand up and say what we are looking for but, yes, we are hoping to do some business here.”

McPack – who says Charlie Adam’s back injury will be assessed – is still waiting for his team’s first league win of the season.

But he thinks his team really should have beaten Motherwell.

He added: “I think we should have won the game – but it’s a different thing to feel and leave nothing.

“We created a lot of opportunities. I thought we were very fluent, especially in the first half, we were really causing them all sorts of trouble.

“We said before the game, a few weeks before they play, the biggest threat to us is the set drama, and that’s what happened.

“We are really disappointed with the goal but I am very proud of the players.

“Another day you won that game very easily because I think everyone will agree, the better team lost that game.

“But it doesn’t matter. Motherwell has got points.

“And playing fair with them, they scored from a set play.

“But I really thought our team and the effort, the determination, the way they pushed the ball forward, the possibilities they created, I think another day is a comfortable win for us.”
