Hatton Garden raider ‘Basel the Ghost’ pays back 6 2k owed 6 million

A Hatton Garden raider named Basel the Ghost has paid only 23 38,231 for a £ 6 million confiscation order.

That means 61-year-old Michael Seed, an alarmist, faces up to six-and-a-half years in prison during his 10-year tenure for his role in the 2015 14 14 million theft, Britain’s largest theft.

David Spencer of the Center for Crime Prevention Group called the meager payment an “insult to victims and the police.”

He added: “It is true that he faces more time behind bars.”

Other members of his aging group, known as the “Diamond Wizards,” have repaid only small portions of their debt.

The two have already extended their jail terms.

Police believe at least 10 10 million has been stolen during a raid on the Easter 2015 Safe Deposit Center.

Badge, a physics and electronics graduate from the University of Nottingham, was previously jailed for three years in 1984 for supplying LSD and cannabis to a friend, 13 years before the creation of the National DNA Database.

Seed was jailed in 2019 for his role in Britain's biggest theft.
