With the help of Glasgow Southeast Police, set up extra miles to protect your motorcycle this month as they prepare to hold a free ‘bike marking’ event on September 8.
Marking your motorcycle means it will be added to the Bike Registers online database, which will help the police identify the right owner in case of theft.

Each individual is given an individual serial number that also registers a warning label for your motorcycle to prevent potential thieves.
Recently the Greater Glasgow Police Revealed An average of 15 to 25 bicycle thefts are reported in the city each week.
City Center Area Commander, Chief Inspector Ross Kelly told the Glasgow Times: “It has been shown that any indication of stickers and marking a motorcycle affects anyone who wants to steal it.”
