A section of Glasgow Central Station was found with severe head injuries.
Emergency services arrived at the scene after the alarm went off at around 40.40 last night.
The British Transport Police (BTP) is investigating the incident.
A spokesman said: “Officers were called to Glasgow Central Station at 5.39pm yesterday when an attack was reported.
“One person has sustained a head injury, and the scene has been cordoned off for questioning.
“No arrests have been made and the incident is being investigated.”
