Five Halloween pumpkin patches in Scotland are driveable from Glasgow.

As the scary season approaches, the fields above and below the country are beginning to give you the opportunity to pick your own pumpkins.

Most pumpkin tickets open in early October, but tickets are on sale now as many locations have sold out in the past year.

Here are five pumpkin patch locations worth driving from Glasgow where you can choose:

1. East Enderton Farm, Renfrew.

Near Incheon, close to Glasgow Airport, this family-run Renfrewshire Farm has been producing soft fruit since 1926.

For the past two years, it has launched an autumn operation, giving people the opportunity to pick pumpkins from its patch.

At the end of the summer season, the farm told customers to “find our pumpkins” this month.

2. Choose a pumpkin, Nelston.

The famous Pumpkin Festival will return to Strathclyde Country Park and will be held throughout the month.
