Cameras have begun shooting a major new TV show in Scotland.
The cast of the BBC thriller Control Room will be led by domestic talent Ian de Castikar and Joanna Wonderham, best known for their performances in the programs of Shield and Warrior, respectively.
Other members of the All-Star Scots have filmed filming scenes in and around Glasgow, including Sharon Rooney of My Made Fat Diary and Stuart Bowlman, a favorite of Versailles.
The control room tells the story of Gabo (Constitution), a common man who works as an emergency call handler for the Scottish Ambulance Service in Glasgow.
But his world turned upside down when he received a desperate call for life and death from a woman he seemed to know.
Gabe is pressured to work out who he is, making decisions that risk disastrous consequences.
The 33-year-old actor says: “The control room is one of the most interesting scripts I’ve ever read.
“I have always loved working with the BBC, and especially in my hometown of Glasgow, enjoying filming with this wonderful cast and crew.”
Joanna, 30, who was born in Perth, added: “Filming is always special in my native Scotland, and my research for the role means I’m reminiscing about my youth.
“I can’t wait for people to see what we do!”
The three-part program has no release date yet.
