Police have launched an appeal following the death of a young man in an accident in Glasgow this morning.
The incident took place on Crow Road around 12.20 am when a young man was hit by a light-colored car, possibly a Mercedes A-Class.
Police confirmed that the vehicle failed to stop and continued south on the road.
An 18-year-old man was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officers in Glasgow are now appealing for witnesses.
Road Policing Department Sergeant Scott Sutherland said: “This incident has killed a young man, and it is important that we track down the car involved.
“The car may have suffered some damage, and it looks like it lost the Mercedes badge from its bonnet.
“I will appeal directly to the driver of the vehicle involved, tell them to do the right thing and contact us immediately.
“If anyone was in the area at the time, or has dashcam footage showing the accident or the vehicle involved, or any information about the vehicle’s current whereabouts, I urge them to contact the police. Do Scotland Referring to incident number 0120 of September 11, 211.
