Clyde Bank: A man was arrested and charged in connection with a ‘hit and run’

A man has been arrested and charged in connection with an alleged “hit and run” at Clyde Bank.

Officers were called to Mildham Road around 1 a.m. Saturday, August 28, when two men, aged 39 and 36, were reportedly targeted by Ford Fiesta.

Both men were taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.

Police have confirmed that a 20-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the alleged incident and has been charged.

He is scheduled to appear in Dumbarton Sheriff’s Court on Monday, August 30, in connection with the alleged incident.

“The incident happened on Saturday, August 28, 2021, around 1 am, when two male pedestrians, aged 39 and 36, were hit by a Ford Fiesta.

“Both were taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.

The man is scheduled to appear in Dumbarton Sheriff’s Court on Monday, August 30.
