Ready for action

He enjoyed them in Poland and Croatia.
Now Josep Juranovich says he is ready to take on Derby Day Fever, a Scottish-style model.
Croatia’s international Libya could make a dramatic start to Abrox tomorrow after a 6 2.6million switch from Warsaw.
Juranovich, who will be wearing the number 88 jersey in honor of the Celtic’s founding year, said: “I’m looking forward to joining. I’m here to play, not to spend my holidays.
“I look forward to the moment when I have to play a game and most importantly win.
“I had the experience of derbies against Hajduk Split with Dinamo Zagreb in Croatia and with Legia in Poland, where I had big derbies against teams like Lech Poznan.
“I really like these games because each of them is difficult and you have to pay attention to every second of the game to make sure you don’t make a mistake.
“It’s interesting that this could be the game I started with. I’ve seen about six games so far and we’ve played very well in them.
“I can’t wait to play with the players because I’ve been in training sessions since I signed and I’ve loved them.
“When I heard that Celtic wanted me, I thought it was a great club and a big step forward for me in my career.
“I was going to play in Europe and that’s what every player wants to do.
“I am sorry that there will be no Celtic fans at the game on Sunday because I wanted to feel the atmosphere.
“But when I come back to Celtic after the international break, I will play in front of my supporters and I will listen to everything. I know Celtic is one of the biggest clubs in Europe. I already know so much about this game. No, but I heard everything about the club.
“That’s one of the reasons I chose Celtic – because we play attacking football, even fullbacks. Each of us wants to be in opposition halfway through the pitch and that’s good for me. ۔ “
Tony Ralston has been a revelation this season under Ange Postikoglu but Juranoch said: “I think I can help him and he can help me.
“I know he’s young, but so am I. So I’m looking forward to playing with him because he’s a great man.
“As soon as I got here in Celtic, he started talking to me, which was really good for him.”
If Juranovich starts tomorrow, there could be an interesting situation for Croatia’s two international fullbacks on opposing sides.
But Juranovich says his friendship with Rangers’ Borna Baresik will be meaningless.
He added: “On the field, I don’t have friends. I’m sure he thinks so too.
“When we’re all together in the Croatian squad, we’re like a family. But, when you’re not on the national team, we’re not family.”
