The body of a man was found in a river in Renfrewshire this morning.
He was found in the Griff River near Tour Road in the Bridge of Ware at about 6.25am.
The death of the 59-year-old is not considered suspicious, police said.
A policeman Scotland The spokesman said: “At around 5.25am on Thursday morning, September 2, the body of a 59-year-old man was found in the Griff River near Tour Road.
No suspicious circumstances are believed and like all sudden deaths a report will be submitted to the Procurator Mali.
The incident happened after the installation of four life belts along the river recently when schoolboy William McNally lost his life in June.
