Frank Ribery could continue his career in Italy’s top flight in which Hales Verona is reportedly thinking of a player.
The veteran midfielder is currently a free agent following his departure from Fiorentina at the end of last season.
Ribery, who turns 40 in two years, was seen coming to the end of his journey as a player in the top leagues of football.
And the playmaker, who won nine Bundesliga titles during his 12-year spell at Bayern Munich, looked ready to join without a club like Daniel Sturge and Jack Wilshire.
However, Sky Italy claims that the former Bayern Munich star wants to go to Verona, which could be his last round at the top of Italy.
It is claimed that the club had a substantial transfer deadline which saw Matia Zakagni land in Lazio.
And Italian reports have claimed that the club have taken on loan from Sampdoria to replace the attacking midfielder with Gianluca Capari.
Ribery, who has won 28 major trophies, including the Champions League title, had two years of fruitful experience at Fiorentina.
